Jay Cutler Camp in toronto and store signing
Jay Cutler training camp will be this saturday in Toronto. this is a sold out event. You can see Jay at popeye’s store in Woodbridge doing a store signing from 12-3pm. POWER BALANCE comes out and admits the bands don’t work and are fake
Power Balance Bracelet worn by celebrities and sports stars who claimed to improve athletic performance declared false by, the Board of Supervisors Consumer Australia (ACCC).
Use of Power Balance bracelet worn by the society began to bloom after a number of athletes and celebrities as well use it. Community generally trust directly benefited from these bands.
Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) have ordered the Power Balance Australia to withdraw all the bands that have sold in the consumer for having misled the benefits.
Power Balance Bracelet is touted to provide balance, strength and better flexibility for users using the natural energy fields originating from the wearer’s body.
“Power Balance has recognized that there is no credible scientific basis to strengthen the claim such benefits, thus there is no reasonable grounds to support the statement bracelet benefits of this power balance,” said ACCC chairman, Graeme Samuel, as quoted from SMH.com.au, Tuesday (01/04/2011).
Samuel said that when a product is promoted, sold in stores of major sporting and used by celebrities and athletes, so consumers tend to give certain legitimacy to the product.
He said that the product is included in the form of fraud and warned retailers that continue to sell products with misleading advertising can be subject to action by the ACCC.
In November 2010 an independent review panel relating to complaints about therapeutic goods advertising code violations found no violation in powerbalance.com.au website, the Power Balance has recognized this and remove it from the website.
Also in October 2010 the consumer advocacy group Choice also found rubber bracelets is just given a plastic hologram. After being tested by CHOICE control laboratory discovered that consumers just like buying an empty wallet.
